2017-2018 Undergraduate Academic Catalog

Psychology - Bachelor of Arts (at Bunker Hill CC)

The Psychology program at Bunker Hill Community College is specifically designed for adult learners who have earned the Associate's Degree in Psychology at Bunker Hill Community College, or other partner community college, to complete their bachelor’s degree in psychology in two years by taking 60 credits through Lesley.  Most courses are taught by Lesley University faculty on the Bunker Hill Community College campus in Charlestown, Massachusetts, others are taught online in the same 8 week format.

Courses required for the Psychology Major in the program allow you to develop a thorough understanding of psychological theories and to apply core psychological principles to personal, social, and organizational issues.  Our writing in the behavioral sciences course prepares you for the writing required in the program as well as skills needed to prepare for work in the field and/or graduate programs in psychology.

Elective and Liberal Arts Foundation courses offered on the Bunker Hill campus are applied classes that delve into human development, health, expressive arts therapy, healing, and social issues.  These courses will assist students to gain knowledge and skills needed for employment in a wide variety of settings working with diverse children and families or to prepare for graduate programs in the helping professions.
