History Minor 12 credits

This minor guides students toward a deeper appreciation and understanding of the past, both as mirror of the contemporary world and as transmitter of important ideas and values. Students learn to utilize a variety of research skills and engage in an interdisciplinary study of a broad range of topics. Examples of topics include women, societal values, the family, ethnic and economic minorities, social policy, childhood and schools, the history of thought, social change, the arts, and political institutions and processes. A total of 12 credits are required.
