2023-2024 Graduate Academic Catalog

Accelerated M.Ed. Programs

The Graduate School of Education's accelerated master's degree programs offer undergraduate students in our College of Art and Design and College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, including the Center for the Adult Learner, the opportunity to earn both a bachelor's degree and a master's degree, many leading to a Massachusetts Initial or Professional teacher license, in as little as five years. Undergraduate students apply for acceptance into an accelerated master's degree program by early spring of their sophomore year, with a GPA of 3.3 or higher, and can complete 6 to 12 credits of graduate level coursework during their junior and senior years. Following conferral of the bachelor's degree, students enter into the master's degree component of the program.
