CLANG 2701 American Sign Language Third Semester

In this third course in the three-course sequence, students advance and refine their mastery of the structure of ASL. Students continue to learn ASL vocabulary and are introduced to advanced features of ASL grammar. Students examine increasingly sophisticated narrative/artistic forms; students also consider the ways in which signed language both reflects and enriches Deaf culture. In addition, political concerns of the Deaf community are considered, as students explore the Deaf experience.
