IANIM 3675 Foley

This course will concentrate on core tasks associated with Audio Postproduction that create an overall sound design plan for projects. Students will learn techniques for recording, creating, manipulating, and layering audio elements to create unique sound effects. Students will be introduced to Foley techniques and create studio and location Foley recordings. Students will gain a basic understanding of music theory including: scales, chords, intervals, modes and song structure. This will enable students to create and collaborate more successfully with professional musicians, mixing engineers and music composers. Students will learn professional studio methods to mix dialogue and sound effects and create musical ambiences/background.
