IPHOT 3275 Photography and the Archive
This course provides a hands-on approach to investigating the relationship between contemporary art practices and institutional archives. Using local image collection as our sites of inquiry, this course will explore how artists are mining the archive to trace, inscribe, contest or retrace history, memory and identity as art practices. This course will culminate with a self-published book from the archive selections.
