CPSYC 4705 Psychological Testing and Assessment

This course is an introductory course to the concepts and practices underlying psychological testing and assessment. It provides a survey of contemporary assessment tools and techniques focusing on cognitive, achievement, applied, personality, and neuropsychological testing, all of which are contextualized according to advantages and limitations. Particular focus will be paid to the potential for test bias and the importance of human decision making in interpretation of test results in mental health field and educational settings
