CSWRK 3350 Forensic Social Work

Students will examine the intersection of the social work profession and the criminal justice system.  This examination will focus on the role of social workers in the legal system, the nature of legal proceedings, and how the court system shapes policy that affects social work practice.  Students will learn the basic functions of a forensic social worker, the assessments they write to perform their work, and will learn how these social workers function in various international settings.
