For more than 100 years, we’ve been shaping the careers of professional artists, designers, innovators, and inventors just like you. Our journey began in 1912 when Roy Davidson founded the School of Practical Art with a mission to train students to become professional artists, ready to work rewarding creative fields. Today, we uphold this commitment to nurturing a new generation of imaginative professionals who are creative and innovative thinkers.
The faculty are world-renowned artists and designers who live and breathe their craft. Through a rigorous studio practice, you’ll dive into experimentation, take risks, and let your creativity run wild to come up with unique and curious ideas. We’ll teach you techniques and tools that adapt to what the industry needs, ensuring you’re always ahead of the game.
Our studio learning extends beyond the classroom. As a student in Cambridge/Boston, you’ll be surrounded by a vibrant arts environment.
