CEDUC 1352 Foundations of Teaching and Learning: Field Exp. 1
This course introduces students to foundational concepts for PK-12 education, emphasizing socio-historical, cultural, political and economic intersections. Students explore the teacher’s role in linguistically and culturally diverse classrooms and examine the relationship between schooling and society. Through course activities and weekly field experiences, students connect foundational concepts to pedagogy, engage with teachers and learners, and develop core teaching principles, including standards-based lesson planning and curriculum literacy. Critical reflection and inquiry are central to this course.
