CEDUC 3700 Early Childhood and Elementary Education: Field Exp. 3
This course enhances students’ skills and knowledge for teaching in inclusive PK-6 settings, focusing on developmentally appropriate pedagogy, Universal Design for Learning (UDL), and culturally and linguistically responsive practices. Students delve into integrated curriculum development, observation and assessment, and the role of play in children’s learning. They cultivate best practices to support children’s academic, social, and emotional needs. A weekly pre-practicum field experience connects theory to practice, promotes effective teaching practices, and fosters critical reflection.
