ON-CAMPUS STUDENT EMPLOYMENT

The Student Employment program provides opportunities for students to work as part of the Federal Work Study and Lesley Works programs. We offer a variety of jobs both on and off campus.  Student Jobs are open during the academic year (September to May). With more than 100+positions ranging from 15 to 25 hours of work per week, as well as daily opportunities for project-based temporary employment, student employment is a great opportunity for professional and educational growth.  Pay scales vary according to job classification and are listed with the job postings.

Federal Work Study Program (FWS): Students who applied for financial aid consideration may have been awarded Federal Work Study as part of their financial aid award. Please check your financial aid award letter or check Self-Service to confirm your eligibility. This program provides part time employment on campus or at nearby off-campus sites for eligible students. Students are given the opportunity to choose jobs which meet their interests, relate to their course of study, and fit in with available free time. Earnings through FWS are taxable income.

Lesley Works Program (LWP): Students who are not eligible for the Federal Work Study Program are eligible to apply for (LW) positions at Lesley. Job listings can be found on Workday. Earnings through the LWP are taxable.

Off-Campus work authorization for F-1 students is complex to obtain and is not always available. F-1 students must have the proper I-20 authorization before starting any type of off-campus employment, including paid and unpaid internships, fieldwork, practicums, and co-ops (hybrid, remote or in-person). Please contact us at iss@lesley.edu and, visit our website, to learn how you can work in the US.  Applying for work authorization can take months—we recommend you learn about your options early so you can plan in advance! Employment-related forms are available at https://lesley.edu/students/international-students/international-student-forms.
