CEDUC 4721 Senior Seminar and Practicum

The semester-long practicum assists teacher candidates in meeting Massachusetts standards for initial licensure. Working in a classroom under the direction of experienced teachers and a program supervisor, candidates participate in weekly seminars that synthesize field experiences and coursework. They critically and collaboratively reflect on school culture, inclusive pedagogy, curriculum literacy, theory, and research as they impact student learning. Candidates engage in perspective-taking to gain insight into their personal growth and professional development as aspiring teachers.
