GEXTH 6418 Vocational and Career Counseling
As a lifelong process, vocational development involves self-awareness, career awareness, assessment, career decision-making, and career planning and implementation. The focus of this course is to build students’ knowledge and application of these areas by exploring career development issues and vocational counselling theories. The course provides a special emphasis on multicultural considerations, the relationship between careers and other life roles and contextual factors, and the role of the job market in career decision-making.
