Academic Technology Skills Development
Academic Technology Program for Academic Year '19 (7/1/18-6/30/19)
The Provost's Office invites core faculty to work in a pilot project with library and eLearning and Instructional Support (eLIS) staff to revise existing courses so that they rely entirely on open access materials, thus eliminating requirements for students to purchase books and other classroom resources.
The pilot project seeks faculty willing to transition existing frequently-offered, high-enrollment courses (any delivery model) into all-OER courses for the academic year 2019/2020. The provost's office offers a stipend of $500/course to support this work.
This initiative will serve as academic technology skills training as defined in the core CBA and will be offered in place of the Summer Academic Technology Institute.
An announcement of this opportunity will be made in October 2018. Applications from core faculty will be accepted until November 20, 2018 and selected participants will be notified on December 1, 2018.
