Part-time Non-Matriculating Students
Students who are not in a degree program can take courses on a part-time basis. Students should contact the Academic Advising Office (advising@lesley.edu) to discuss course selection, availability, prerequisites, and potential program requirements. If a student is considering entering a degree program at some point, it is important to make sure the credits they take as a non-degree student meet potential program requirements. Once a course or courses are determined by both the Academic Advisor and the student to be an appropriate fit, and if the course can accommodate a part-time non-matriculating student, the student may then contact the Office of the Registrar to enroll in the course/courses.
Students taking undergraduate courses can take up to 15 credits. If a non-matriculated student wishes to take more than 15 credits, the student must initiate an application for admission to a degree program.
Students taking graduate courses are strongly recommended to complete the admission process if they want to be in a degree or certificate program before completing more than two (2) courses or a total of six (6) credits.
International students should contact the Office of Graduate Admissions to determine eligibility to take a course as a non-matriculated student. luadmissions@lesley.edu Please note that F-1 status does not permit non-matriculated programs.
Lesley University does not guarantee the acceptance of credits earned prior to formal admission since the coursework may not be applicable to the program requirements. Admission requirements are listed on the application form.
