CEDUC 3340 Literacy Assessment for Equity
This course equips students with informal and formal literacy assessment to design instruction focusing on the strengths and needs of learners who experience challenges in literacy instruction. Students examine phonemic, orthographic, morphological, and semantic aspects of oral and written language and methods for drawing upon the cultural and linguistic strengths of learners. Students will examine research-based methods for supporting all learners, including those with specific learning differences, providing accessible literacy instruction for all.
