Accelerated Master's Degree Programs

The accelerated master's degree programs provide opportunities for students to meet requirements for a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in an accelerated manner. Full-time students can usually complete an accelerated degree program in five years. The accelerated degree programs are designed for students who demonstrate a high degree of maturity and academic potential. They require students to meet high standards of academic achievement in both their undergraduate and graduate level coursework. Undergraduate students may apply for admission to the accelerated degree programs at the end of their sophomore year. In order to be accepted into these programs, students must have maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.3 or higher during the first four semesters of college. Formal application involves creating a portfolio application which is reviewed by a team of undergraduate and graduate faculty. Transfer students should consult their department chair about the application. Students interested in pursuing an accelerated degree should contact their advisor or the department chair in order to obtain further information.
